Before battle[]

Battles in World of Warriors are turn based encounters, usually featuring teams of 3 vs 3. Before fights players choose which three of their warriors will be used to fight the enemy team.

The player's team is always displayed on the left hand side of the screen, with the enemy team on the right hand side.

Enemy teams usually consist of Minions, but could also be made up of enemy Warriors if participating in a timed fight or competing in the arena.

Types Fights[]

There are various types of fights in world of warriors, each slightly different.

Standard Fights[]

Standard fights are the ones that take place on the main story line. They involve three of your warriors, and 1-3 minions. The minions may be higher in level than your strongest warriors, but don't worry, minions are often weaker than you, but always expect them to be a challenge.

Side Fights[]

Side fights are the black markers that pop up around the main quest fight you are currently on. They can either be 3v3 or 1v3. 1v3s are deceptive, as the minions will be well below your level, but they hit hard, and you likely will not survive two special moves from them. However, it does award double xp.

Timed Fights[]

Timed Fights may occasionally pop up around your current quest fight too, represented by god and blue markers with a warrior helmet in the centre. These fights only stick around for a couple of minutes, so be quick to start them! They will normally contain 1-3 warriors of legendary status.

Puzzle Fights[]

Puzzle fights are harder standard fights, as one of the enemies will have a unique skill which makes it harder, e.g. toxic.

Boss fights[]

Fights that contain a harder to beat boss.

Arena Fights[]

Arena fights are against another person's defence team, and may out level you quite a bit. It is important to use talismans here.

Tower Fights[]

Heroic Heights

Top floor of the tower of Trials

Tower fights pit you against enemies of increasing strength the further up you are. It is important to use talismans in the higher stages.

Selecting Warriors[]

Element[]

Elemental Alignments

An Elemental Chart

Warriors in the game are categorised into 4 elements, earth, air, fire and water, with fire beating earth, earth beating air, and air beating water, as in the image to the right.

When selecting your team it is important to take into consideration your team's elements, and the opposing team, as to provide elements that counter each other, as being on the weak side of elements can cause you a load of harm.

Talismans[]

Talismans are an important part in selecting warriors, as you can give them added protection, attack or skills. It is recommended to use them for main story, high level tower, and arena fights.

Leader Skill[]

Selecting a leader applies that warrior's leader skill to the entire team for as long as the leader is alive in battle. Once the leader has been knocked out, the leader attributes go away.

To select a leader, that warrior must be placed in the first slot of a battle board, and the skill will be displayed at the top of the board.

Standard Attack[]

A standard attack skill test.

The standard attack involves tapping the screen when the line is in the red zone. How well this is done determines the effectiveness and how much damage the attack does. Learn more about skill tests here, and about damage calculations here.

Special Moves[]

When a player has three mana (The Blue things at the bottom of the screen) the player may perform the special move of any of their still in play warriors, by clicking the large image of them that is displayed. This will use three mana and bring up the skill test for that special move. Read more about special moves and skill tests here.

Enemy Turn[]

On the enemy turn, they will either:

Perform a standard attack[]

If the enemy has not got a full mana bar (the red stuff in the bottom right) or they cannot perform their special (e.g. Niteskull's drain if you have no mana, Slimius' resurrect when no one on his team is dead, etc.)

This will result in you getting hit with a regular strength attack, and will give you pick ups, which you must tap, consisting of hearts and mana, as well as bombs that if you hit will subtract health and destroy all other remaining pick ups.

Perform a Special Move[]

If the enemy does have a full mana bar, they will perform a special move, which will likely hit you with some force. Pick ups generally remain the same, with some exceptions:

Poison[]

Poison attacks will give mana pick ups, but no bombs or hearts.

Healing, Regeneration and Resurrection[]

Healing special moves give no pick ups, however give more mana pick ups the next turn.

Attacks That Kill Your Warrior[]

As your warrior is dead, only mana pick ups are given, and no bombs appear.

End of and After Battle[]

XP Screen[]

When a battle is complete, all warriors used are awarded with XP for that level, and if that XP fills the bar, the warrior will have 'train me' or 'upgrade me' written on top of them, and then can be upgraded or trained at the home camp.
